About SCS Night Home Care Service
We understand that your night care requirements may change as your condition improves or deteriorates. As a result we offer a flexible night care service that can be regularly reviewed and adapted at any time to suit your needs.
Our Night Care service is quite common following a stay in hospital or a change in surroundings or personal circumstances that you’re not going to know exactly what level of night care support you require during the night. In these cases, we will look to review your night care needs over the first few days of your return home and work closely with you and your family to ensure the safest and most appropriate level of care is provided.
Our night service is divided, for simplicity into 2 services. This will depend on your overnight needs.
SCS Awake staff
This service is for clients who require frequent attention during the night and carers will be awake all night doing some if not all this services;
- Assistance with regular turns and/or repositioning.
- Personal care
- Assisting with medication.
- Preparing and supporting with fluid intake.
- Care for people with specialised needs.
- Monitoring welfare checks for people with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
- Assisting with toileting and incontinence care.
- Emptying your catheter
- Patience returning home from hospital that needs extra support in the early days.
- Assisting with your general comfort.
SCS Sleeping Night Staff
Our sleeping night service is for people who sleep throughout the night but who occasionally just need that added reassurance to know that they are not alone in the house during the night.
For you to receive this service, you will need to provide our care worker a separate bed to sleep in and will be at hand when required.
With this service if our carer is woken up more than four times in a night, this session becomes a waking night and is chargeable as a waking.
